Accreditation and Services
GLP and UKAS Accredited - what does that mean?
Good Labroratory Practice is an accreditation system concerned with the organisational processes and conditions under which laboratory studies are planned, performed, monitored and recorded.
Integral to GLP is the maintenance of an Internal Quality System with regular audit checks. It is governed by EU directive and monitored in the UK by inspection visits carried out by the Medical Control Agency. Data generated in a GLP accredited laboratory is acceptable to drug regulatory authorities worldwide. The United Kingdom Accreditation Service assesses, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide testing services. Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of the laboratory. Follow this link to the UKAS website to view the schedule of accredited tests. Nationwide Laboratories Leeds (NWL Leeds) are proud to have achieved both GLP and UKAS accreditation, demonstrating to our customers that our work is performed to the highest standards. |
